U16 Wires - Team Homepage

Wires V Fife Rangers

(Paul Anderson 10/03/2016)
A great day for football, on a cold but sunny Saturday morning on a slick pitch, ideal for playing good football. Good football is exactly what we did play, in a 1st half performance as good as any this season. The attacking players stole... More

Under 11 Wires V Runcorn Linnets

(Paul Anderson 24/02/2016)

Wires V Wigan Junior Latics

(Paul Anderson 17/02/2016)
After yet more rain leading up to the game, we continue to be fortunate to have a pitch that drains so well. Although soft, we were still able to have an excellent game of football. Playing against a well organized, packed defence, with an excellent... More

Wires V Highfield Grange Vipers

(Paul Anderson 10/02/2016)
The visiting team (usually tough opposition) found it impossible to cope with a sparkling 1st half performance from the boys.
Despite the heavy pitch, The Wires played some scintillating football in the 1st half, the highlight of which was a hat trick from Henry.
Goals from Rishy, Loops & Merse, completed the scoring.
Defensively, the boys, marshalled by Taz are improving too.
All in all, an excellent performance

Under 11 Wires V Appleton Boys North

(Paul Anderson 05/02/2016)
We are fortunate to be playing football with so many games called off due to the incessant rain, and we were pleased to be able to reverse our away fixture with Appleton Boys, to Loushers Lane

An excellent performance from the Junior Wires, the highlight of which was four goals from Man of the Match Gilly.

Always nice to see a header go in & Loops scored a beauty. Merse & Sam also netting.

A much better defensive performance too.

Wigan Soccer Dome Christmas Tournament

(Paul Anderson 28/01/2016)
The Junior Wires took two teams to this event, which was a Tournament full of Wigan Teams at both Under 11 & 12 Age Groups. Both teams (Yellows & Blues) qualified from their groups, with excellent records. Our Yellows Team, however... More
